predicitions for the chinese new year (early)

FENG SHUI for the YEAR of the TIGER 2010

There is the possibility of feeling heaven has abandoned you, especially for the man of the house. The woman of the house has the possibility of disaster. Married couples can suffer greatly by this combination and, during certain months, be susceptible to suicide.

for complete predictions for the year of the tiger and free psychic predictions for 2010, go to:

home again home again

i am home from a wonderful trip to kauai. i swam, hiked, did yoga, chi gong, ate, drank, and repeated it all! the weather was great -- even the one day it poured was great.

i drove around the island in a red convertible mustang -- always with the top down (except in the rain) -- and my room was almost the size of my house complete with a full kitchen, dining and living room, laundry, and a balcony with a view of the ocean. i never turned on either of the flat screen tvs except one night to show my films...

i placed fliers and graffiti and met sweet people everywhere we went. it was definitely the best work ive had in a long time!

i am only home a week and a half then off to san jose. try to come to meditation class this wednesday and/or sunday. balance is very important at this time.

happy day of the dead!

always good

By Bill Maher / September 27, 2009New Rule: If America can't get its act together, it must lose the bald eagle as our symbol and replace it with the YouTube video of the puppy that can't get up. As long as we're pathetic, we might as well act like it's cute.I don't care about the president's birth certificate, I do want to know what happened to "Yes we can." Can we get out of Iraq? No. Afghanistan? No. Fix health care? No. Close Gitmo? No. Cap-and-trade carbon emissions? No. The Obamas have been in Washington for ten months and it seems like the only thing they've gotten is a dog.Well, I hate to be a nudge, but why has America become a nation that can't make anything bad end, like wars, farm subsidies, our oil addiction, the drug war, useless weapons programs -- oh, and there's still 60,000 troops in Germany -- and can't make anything good start, like health care reform, immigration reform, rebuilding infrastructure.Even when we address something, the plan can never start until years down the road. Congress's climate change bill mandates a 17% cut in greenhouse gas emissions... by 2020! Fellas, slow down, where's the fire? Oh yeah, it's where I live, engulfing the entire western part of the United States! We might pass new mileage standards, but even if we do, they wouldn't start until 2016. In that year, our cars of the future will glide along at a breathtaking 35 miles-per-gallon. My goodness, is that even humanly possible? Cars that get 35 miles-per-gallon in just six years? Get your head out of the clouds, you socialist dreamer! "What do we want!? A small improvement! When do we want it!? 2016!"When it's something for us personally, like a laxative, it has to start working now. My TV remote has a button on it now called "On Demand." You get your ass on my TV screen right now, Jon Cryer, and make me laugh. Now! But when it's something for the survival of the species as a whole, we phase that in slowly.Folks, we don't need more efficient cars. We need something to replace cars. That's what's wrong with these piddly, too-little-too-late half-measures that pass for "reform" these days. They're not reform, they're just putting off actually solving anything to a later day, when we might by some miracle have, a) leaders with balls, and b) a general populace who can think again. Barack Obama has said, "If we were starting from scratch, then a single-payer system would probably make sense." So let's start from scratch.Even if they pass the shitty Max Baucus health care bill, it doesn't kick in for four years, during which time 175,000 people will die because they're not covered, and about three million will go bankrupt from hospital bills. We have a pretty good idea of the Republican plan for the next three years: Don't let Obama do anything. What kills me is that that's the Democrats' plan, too.We weren't always like this. Inert. In 1965, Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare into law and 11 months later seniors were receiving benefits. During World War II, virtually overnight FDR had auto companies making tanks and planes only. In one eight year period, America went from JFK's ridiculous dream of landing a man on the moon, to actually landing a man on the moon. This generation has had eight years to build something at Ground Zero. An office building, a museum, an outlet mall, I don't care anymore. I'm tempted to say that, symbolically, all America can do lately is keep digging a hole, but Ground Zero doesn't represent a hole. It is a hole. America: Home of the Freedom Pit. Ironically, it's spitting distance from Wall Street, where they knock down buildings a different way -- through foreclosure. That's the ultimate sign of our lethargy: millions thrown out of their homes, tossed out of work, lost their life savings, retirements postponed -- and they just take it. 30% interest on credit cards? It's a good thing the Supreme Court legalized sodomy a few years ago.Why can't we get off our back? Is it something in the food? Actually, yes. I found out something interesting researching last week's editorial on how we should be taxing the unhealthy things Americans put into their bodies, like sodas and junk foods and gerbils. Did you know that we eat the same high-fat, high-carb, sugar-laden shit that's served in prisons and in religious cults to keep the subjects in a zombie-like state of lethargic compliance? Why haven't Americans arisen en masse to demand a strong public option? Because "The Bachelor" is on. We're tired and our brain stems hurt from washing down French fries with McDonald's orange drink. The research is in: high-fat diets makes you lazy and stupid. Rats on an American diet weren't motivated to navigate their maze and once in the maze they made more mistakes. And, instead of exercising on their wheel, they just used it to hang clothes on. Of course we can't ban assault rifles -- we're the first generation too lazy to make its own coffee. We're the generation that invented the soft chocolate chip cookie: like a cookie, only not so exhausting to chew. I ask you, if the food we're eating in America isn't making us stupid, how come the people in Carl's Jr. ads never think to put a napkin over their pants?[Bill Maher is host of HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."]Source / The Huffington PostThanks to Bill Meacham / The Rag Blog

brian eno

its funny you dont know how lucky you are until circumstances change for the worse...

millie and i went to see the brian eno exhibit at cal state long beach last week. we didnt go to the lecture because it was a hundred bucks... a hundred bucks!

and our timing was such that we arrived at the exhibit when everyone else was in the lecture... there were just a couple kids manning the university art museum... and they didnt know anything from anything. but they were sweet.

there is a room of prints ~ giclee copies of prints ~ in the first room of the museum. they are competent and attractive. they are the basis for enos installation.

the next room has the sound and light show.

the reviews of the show were lukewarm but we decided to see for ourselves what was what. and we did.

the focus of the room is a wall of twelve monitors mounted in a kaleidescope pattern. on the monitors, images of enos prints slowly dissolve one into another. at first, the change is so slow we couldnt see them change. we thought the monitors themselves were moving but couldnt see the images move.

with no-one else in the museum, i could go up close to the monitors and really view them. we could sit ~ and we did for 45 minutes ~ and watch the slow parade of images...

enos trademark ambient music filled the room. and piles of gravel were placed in certain places...

the images and music were randomly generated and layered so the experience was always new... it was a meditation and millie and i thoroughly enjoyed it. it was beautiful.

we looked at the other exhibit ~ cory arcangel ~ before we left. it was also wonderful (an abstract, generated film thing ~ you have to see it).

millie and i went to papa luccis in belmont shore to eat veggie pizza... then across the street to finerprint records to look for music...

then we decided to go back to see the eno exhibit again.

the lecture was out and people were coming and going ~ mostly attractive college kids... there were different kids manning the desk and everywhere people were visiting... and as we sat in the viewing room, the noise of people talking, doors slamming, and general hubbub was a complete distraction from the meditation of the art. it is the noisiest museum i have ever been in. no respect, i tell you.

the exhibit is great ~ you need to see it. but go when the museum is closed ~ even the staff can be loud!

galleRoy @ BUSTER'S

i have postponed galleRoy @ BUSTER'S ~ the film, music, poetry performance scheduled for next month in culver city. everything is not coming together easily (see previous post) and it is better not to make myself crazy. er.

jessica, jason, and lily are working on the films ~ and that is where i need to focus... rehearsal schedules and technical difficulties will be dealt with in their own time.

in the meantime, i am trying to write. trying.

there isnt as much writing needed for the websites (though i did just finish a long newsletter), and the spiritual forum i write for closed today (though i am now writing for another), but between tequila tales (a book i am working on with my friend millie), my biography anecdotes, and the endless amount of emails i get... there is hardly time to clear the mind, let alone work on the two things i want to write: namely a long poem about dissatisfaction with the circumstances of life (to go with body of water) and the karma cookbook.

but these take psychic space... and mental time...

so maybe postponing galleRoy will give me those.

to keep abreast of my busy schedule see http://royanthonyshabla.com ~ and subscibe to the newsletter for even more info.

daily grind

yesterday big jeanne and i went to see bright star the movie about keats. go and see it now because it wont be in theaters more than a couple days. poetry, early 19th century, country... a slow movie like this wont play to the american public. but it was good.

and we ate at real food daily. and it was good. (i had two five dollar coupons from the time elizabeth and i tried to eat there and they were remodeling... so the bill wasnt so bad either!)

i am done with traveling for a few weeks and relaxing at home... catching up on writing and art... even a little reading!

am trying to finish films... trying to put together a performance at busters in october... but everything is lagging. when the films are completed, we can begin rehearsals. dont have all the readers yet, dont have the musicians (but one)... but i need the films to even begin the work of putting it together... and am dependent on film editors (who seem to have better things to do) to finish this portion of the project.

o well. then i can have a nap~

river of peace

today i crossed the peace river, a wide beautiful waterway in florida halfway between fort myers (where my aunt and uncle live) and orlando (where i left florida and flew back to california).

last night karen and grace and i spent the evening with my aunt ursula and uncle johnny. we ate and drank and ate some more. and we talked and talked and talked. we all had a wonderful time. johnny brought out old photographs ~ there is one of his father selling vegetables from a cart in niles ohio (there is no photo of my great grandfather selling from such a cart) and i would like to use it in my cookbook. and ursula brought out pictures of cousins i dont know, have never met...

and we talked politics...

and ursula told us about about a woman who had been ordained a catholic priest and was excommunicated from the church but still said mass and ministered to her congregation. she had a program for the homeless and urusula had cooked food for it ~ the same as we were eating... she had to tell us while johnny was out of earshot as he didnt approve. (others in my family are similarly inclined ~ my cousin helen in las vegas runs a food bank for aids patients ~ her catholic church helping over two thousand clients... but helen wont donate to the regular collection at church ~ that goes to pay for the pedophilia lawsuits ~ she only gives to the building fund and the food bank.)

we had a long drive today to get me to the airport on time so after we crossed the peace river, we stopped only for a few moments to get coffee and post peace graffiti. grace did the honors at a fast food chain and karen shot pictures...

it was a great trip to florida, surprising karen, meeting buffy, visiting with grace and al, seeing my aunt and uncle... we flew fighter kites, walked in the rain, shopped... and there was a big party... but mostly we talked. it was wonderful to be able to have a conversation and relax... and now im home and back to the grind... but the river of peace still flows through us all.

september 11

today is the anniversary of the september 11th tragedy. i am in florida (not portland like my schedule says) to surprise karen guido for her birthday. her husband made the arrangements and they picked me up at the airport last night and she was surprised. i think she is still surprised.

we stayed up til 3:30 in the morning talking, howling...

today we did a variety of things ~ the most important of which was vandalizing st. augustine beach. karen and i installed peace graffiti along the beach walk where surfers and strollers alike can enjoy it and meditate on it. we also placed graffiti on the bandstand, a great old and romantic structure in semi disrepair.

the army corps of engineers screwed up the placement of a jetty fifty miles north of st. augustine resulting in the quick erosion of st. augustine's beach, the area now closed because of dangerous high tides crashing on the beach wall rocks.

surfers access the dangerous waters from either end of st. augustine but the middle of the lost beach holds only a view for everyone else. peace graffiti is thus perfectly placed ~ natural grace and beauty made unattainable by military unintelligence, the structure of humanity eroding from human idiocy.

we had a lovely dinner with karen's parents then came home and talked about art late into the evening. we did not light candles on the street nor show our posters to the traffic but instead waged peace with peppermint tea ~ thus our work to save the world continues.

to print free peace posters, order peace t-shirts, or buy my book about peace graffiti ~ go to royanthonyshabla.com http://royanthonyshabla.com/ . (i was wearing a "one for all" peace shirt today and recieved wonderful comments.)

there are documentary photos on the posters page of royanthonyshabla.com. the pictures of today's vandalism will be posted soon.

what have you done today to save the world?

blanca

elizabeth and i went to see blanca today. blancita. she was my cleaning lady, elizabeths longtime friend. she worked for everybody -- including shelly winters. blanca has been dying of cancer for a long time -- throat, stomach cancer... a very hard way to go. we have visited her a few times but this was the worst. she looked like a tiny little ghandi under a blanket on the bed ~ bald, weak, alien...

but her soul was still there, her spark, her humor.

i will write more later.

life and death

today is steves birthday. he died on the summer solstice a year ago. i miss him more and more. martha is still inconsolable.

last week, i was in the san francisco area (orinada is next to berkeley) to help stacy take care of her mom. when i was there three weeks earlier, alice was exhibiting slight signs of a stroke -- nothing too demonstrative but she was taken to the emergency room. she came back two days later with a diagnosis of alzheimers though she had no symptoms of alzheimers. the doctors had to make some diagnosis because thats what they do... but then she did start to exhibit signs of alzheimers... (you could almost think it was suggested by the diagnosis...) very quickly she went from stage two to stage six, really in three days... and alzheimers is a very slow-progressing disease...

experts now determine that alice is suffering with a very rare disease similar to mad cow --creutzfeldt-jakob disease -- a rapid, degerative brain affliction that turns the organ into a spongy mush. and physical, emotional, and mental functions deteriorate as the brain does. quickly.

there are several websites for information. and mad cow is not only in cows and humans -- the deer on bobs farm in oregon had it last year... maybe that accounts for bobs craziness!!!

as with any caregiving, a sense of compassion and a sense of humor are vital. and support is key.

stacys aunt meri, alices sister, was there to help and was tireless in her help. stacy has a six-month old baby and a three-year old girl. tater and coconut. and a husband, my friend chuck. and now her mother... it is a lot to handle.

people coming to visit were useless -- making things even more difficult... and professional care had not started yet. so i went to pitch in.

o i didnt do that much -- made food, helped with moving alice, watching the babies... working together makes difficult work enjoyable -- something always to remember as a caregiver: dont do it all yourself.

martha and i learned this well taking care of steve. 3 am toilet dramas would launch us into giggles and gagging... sleep deprivation and living room defication are handled better with a friend...

the feng shui has been difficult for health recently: both july and september have extreme illness and death. and october has the same...

i am so grateful my mother is fine, my family (knock wood) are all ok. besides stacys mother being sick; chuck, stacys husband, his mother has a relapse of cancer; and rich, stacys brother-in-law, his mother is dying of cancer.

marthas dear friend and neighbor joan, her husband doesnt have long to live...

and my dear friend, client, and student... my compatriot and bon vivant wifey, her father is hospitalized with a rare form of blood cancer. she is devasted. and rundown from being present for her parents...

the tough times are not only economic. but the blessing is that we have each other through it all.

humanity

the september newsletter (see below) has stimulated readers to relate their stories of crazy people -- from inappropriate drivers to inappropriate shoppers... anywhere people interact. this is a crazy crazy time and things are only getting worse.

but no-one has mentioned the humanity shops. http://blesstheworld.com/humanity_shops.html

blesstheworld.com has launched a page of affiliate shops ~ links to other websites such as chocolate, coffee, wine, etc... where the retailer is green and socially conscious and donates to ecological and humanitarian charities. some really wonderful shops... if you follow the link from blesstheworld.com to one of the shops ~ gourmet chocolate for example ~ and make a purchase, blesstheworld.com receives a small referral fee.

on the humanity shops page, it states that this money (the referral fee) goes to help support the work of blesstheworld.com... and thus the question arises: what is the work of blesstheworld.com?

for those who dont read my newsletters or books... or dont listen to/dont appreciate what they read... blesstheworld.com and royanthonyshabla.com are regularly engaged in humanitarian works.

peace graffiti takes considerable effort and income as well as magic. if you havent read my book, (peace) words, order it now: http://royanthonyshabla.com/books.html and join the cause. war is an assault on the human spirit and a curse on the earth. what have you done today to save the world?

this week, blesstheworld.com has donated books to literacy and cultural programs in india, pakistan (for women in afghanistan ~ the taliban notwithstanding), brazil, zimbabwe, greece, denmark (anti-government squatters), poland, czech republic, and the ukraine. illiteracy is a worldwide shame on humanity.

blesstheworld.com regularly supplies the blessthebody.com spiritual remedy first aid to disaster victims. http://blesstheworld.com/spiritual_remedies.html this also takes considerable time and money. but it is a great service to wounded souls.

besides these humanitarian works, many many free consultations are given ~ you know who you are ~ both over the phone and through email. no one is turned away from meditation class for lack of funds ~ though those who do not pay, usually do not return. and the blesstheworld.com website includes a page of free posters (have you printed and posted peace fliers? if you have, do it again. if you havent, start now! http://royanthonyshabla.com/posters.html). what have you done today to save the world?

most people have a difficult time with their own lives, they dont have the energy to worry about others. unfortunately, inertia is the american way. but the blesstheworld.com humanity shops, the royanthonyshabla.com books, the peace shirts... all support peace and human rights in the world. if you do not have the time or energy to march to save the world, patronize blesstheworld.com and royanthonyshabla.com. your support is greatly appreciated.

Happy Autumnal Equinox!

It is the end of Summer and the beginning of the Season of Blessings. Harvest festivals ~ culminating in the United States with Thanksgiving in November ~ are our opportunities to be grateful for what we have, what we enjoy. May this season bring you an autumn of the heart where you find a bountiful harvest festival within yourself.

The August newsletter received a great response! People commented on the “Predictions” section, reminding me of earthquakes I had foretold (I was like an earthquake meter when I was younger) as well as events personal to their lives. Usually, these incidents are downplayed or forgotten ~ I try not to be a “story”, a vaudeville, a parlor trick. But people do want to be entertained…

This month is very unsettled. I do not want to verbalize the possibilities; I prefer to work for peace. While the meditation class schedule is very disrupted (my travel schedule is posted to both websites), find time and place for meditation and rebalancing. Helping yourself will help the planet at this time. Schedule a spa day for your soul.

And go to the free posters page on royanthonyshabla.com and print out fliers. If you aren’t working for peace, you are allowing war. If you don’t believe in the possibility of peace, you are supporting the probability of war. Make peace graffiti ~ get the idea of peace into the consciousness of the planet. Any wall can change the world ~ write wisely.

This will be the 8th anniversary of the September 11th tragedy. If you will not post graffiti for peace, then wear a peace t-shirt to the supermarket, put a peace sticker on your car, hang a peace clock in your cubicle at work. Do not succumb to inertia and apathy. What have you done today to save the world?

The original recommendation for people directly affected by the September 11th tragedy was the use of blessthebody.com First Aid for five years. Boxes of First Aid were sent to various sites in New York City and elsewhere to assist with the immediate trauma. But there have been no reports of blessthebody.com First Aid usage even to one year. Hopefully, victims found another tool to assist them. Healing is a difficult road; not healing is worse.

On September 11th, light a candle as a prayer for peace for the world. Go outside your home, your safety zone, and light a candle for the world. Print out a free poster or wear your peace shirt and stand on the street with a candle. Stand up for peace in the world. Stand up for peace for yourself and those you love. And give thanks for the blessings in your life.

Humanity Shops

blesstheworld.com is pleased to announce the Humanity Shops. These are affiliate websites of quality which offer products to enrich your life and the world. While the Humanity Shops is still in progress, there are now available websites of fine chocolate, gourmet coffee, and connoisseur wine. Others will be added as things progress. Much of the Humanity Shops’ products are fair trade organic and sustainable and the companies return money to humanitarian and ecological charities. If you place an order having gone to one of their websites from blesstheworld.com, blesstheworld.com will receive a small referral commission. This helps to support the work of blesstheworld.com and RoyAnthonyShabla.com, the cost of peace graffiti, the cost of donated remedies, and many, many other things.

One of the Humanity Shops to note is the flower shop. Fresh, organic flowers delivered in beautiful, recycled materials. There is a special offer at this time: buy one dozen roses, receive another free. Send flowers to your neighbor, your friend, your mother-in-law for September 11th; order flowers for your Autumnal Equinox dinner party. Make peace with the world through flowers!

Go to the Humanity Shops page and read about the exciting companies with which we are partnering.

blessthebody.com Spiritual Remedies

The cause of the “unsettled” crazy energy (people driving dangerously, reacting inappropriately, etc.) is a degeneration of the aura. The recommended blessthebody.com Radiation Cleanse for the last two months and the warnings of radiation poisoning since the beginning of the year were a protection against this degeneration. Extreme weather patterns are also a result of disbiotic radiation, as is nervousness, weakness, and unstable empathy. Now, the frequent use of blessthebody.com Aura Spritz is recommended to repair the damage from ambient radiation, especially if you have not heeded the previous warnings.

Aura Spritz

The aura is a complex, multi-dimensional vibration-bundle which contains all information about you. A small portion of the aura is known as the light around the body, the halo. The complete aura exists both within and without time/space and contains all your spiritual bodies and reaches to the edges of the universe. Ascended Masters have access to the complete aura while most people operate within a very limited energy space.Damage to the aura affects the physical body, the chakric body, the emotional body; it affects the physical life-process, the spiritual life-process.The aura is damaged by many antagonists: radiation (use with blessthebody.com Radiation Cleanse); family/inter-personal dysfunction (use with Chakra Tonic); anger, jealously (use with E-motion Potion)...But most importantly, the aura is damaged by psychic attack, black magic, voodoo. Negative thoughts directed from a casual encounter are very tangible antagonists to the integrity of the aura. Ritual abuse/attack is much worse.blessthebody.com Aura Spritz cleanses and repairs the aura at all levels and cuts karmic cords to all antagonists. It amplifies all other remedies (eg: see above; also: Silver Light for peace; Green Light for harmony/healing; Love Light for universal compassion, et cetera). For severe auric damage, use with blessthebody.com First Aid. For destructive empathy, use as a tonic with First Aid.blessthebody.com Aura Spritz is your first line of defense from bad luck in any form because everything exists in your aura before it exists in your life.

To balance the “unsettled energy” within your body at this time, it is recommended to use blessthebody.com Chakra Tonic regularly.

Chakra Tonic

The chakras are portals of spiritual energy which connect to specific points on the physical body. They pertain to psycho-emotional issues which manifest in the physical body and the physical life.blessthebody.com Chakra Tonic repairs, balances, and strengthens the chakra and nadi (connections between the chakras) systems and their subsidiary systems (the endocrine system, the nervous system, the acupuncture points and meridians systems). It supports the balance of the hormones, brain chemicals, digestive enzymes. It supports the balance of psycho-emotional life-issues. blessthebody.com Chakra Tonic is like "Kundalini-yoga-in-a-bottle".As a tonic, it is best used regularly over a period of time. This is an excellent basic remedy. Chakra Tonic combines well with the other blessthebody.com Spiritual Remedies — choose to combine remedies to focus the energy to a desired action (eg: Chakra Tonic with Bright Brain for hormone balancing; Chakra Tonic with E-motion Potion for psychological processing; Chakra Tonic with Bright Immunity for strength and vitality). This is an important remedy during pregnancy (especially for the healthy development of the fetus), menopause, home re-modeling (combine with First Aid), mid-life crisis, or any life-transition. blessthebody.com Chakra Tonic helps you maintain healthy balance.

In honor of the tragedy of September 11th, blessthebody.com First Aid will be reduced to $13 for the month. Now is always the time to accept healing into your life. Also, the trauma of a damaged aura (from the current radiation problem) is more significant than the trauma of a damaged body and blessthebody.com First Aid will be your friend, relieving the pattern of trauma from both your body and your aura.

First Aid

Shock and trauma overwhelm a portion of the psyche, stunting the growth process on all levels. An insect bite or paper cut; a car accident or death in the family — from surgery to a stubbed toe, this is your "first-aid-kit-in-a-bottle". More effective than Rescue Remedy or arnica, use for all minor or major emergencies. It is indispensable if you have children or when travelling; keep an extra bottle in your car and toiletries bag.First Aid relieves shock and trauma from physical, emotional, mental, psychic, and spiritual stress, both current and historical. Use to relieve childhood and distant trauma as well as everyday circumstances. First Aid calls the spirit back so healing can begin.

Astrological Feng Shui

While there is the possibility of financial abundance this month, there is also conflict with that money, especially as robbery. There is also great illness and death. Take time to place these treatments with respect after removing last month’s treatments.

In the Southeast, place eight stones and six coins. Excellent luck.In the South, place three coins. Marriage luck.In the Southwest, good luck.In the West, place images of health. In the Northwest, excellent luck.In the North, stimulate the moving metal. Disaster. In the Northeast, leave coins, return fire.In the East, place six-times-six coins. Disaster. In the Center, place six-times-six coins in water. Violence and loss.

Use blessthebody.com Radiation Cleanse and Aura Spritz on your home. If it seems the energy isn’t flowing smoothly or is out of synch, add blessthebody.com Implant Cleanse.

RoyAnthonyShabla.com and blesstheworld.com wish you a kind September.

August 2009

Greetings!

galleRoy @ Casa La Reina was a huge success. The art, the film, the food, the drink ~ all were wonderful. People are still talking about it. The garden of poetry was a romantic setting and the band was amazing. Guests came from all over California. If you missed this party, you missed something. See my blog for details.

RoyAnthonyShabla.com and blesstheworld.com are both pleased to announce the completion of their site renovations. Enjoy the new, simpler formats and sleek, over-all design. It is safer and easier to order remedies and services online than ever before.

One expanded feature of blesstheworld.com is the glossary. It is a list of commonly referenced metaphysical words with clear, simple definitions. Give yourself a crash-course in metaphysics by perusing the blesstheworld.com glossary. It is an interesting and enlightening read. Other features will be added soon.

Predictions

Clients have been confirming my predictions more than ever. Forecasts based on astrology, numerology, feng shui, and psychic energy have been manifesting regularly this year. Many predictions and tales of confirmation are related during the weekly Divine Meditation classes but other predictions have been made during workshops, special events, private consultations, and this newsletter.

Information pertaining to the physical body (eg: poisoning) and the emotional body (eg: conflict) as well as career and financial information have born out. Those who have heeded the predictions are understandably grateful.

I also predicted the onset of fighting in the (un)Holy Land despite peace talks and the death by stabbing on the first day of the 2008 Summer Olympics.

During my dharma talk on New Years’s Eve, I gave forecasts for the year. A few were repeated in this newsletter. One thing I spoke about was the death of a famous and beloved person. This prediction was not about a general person in the public eye ~ famous people die regularly ~ but someone the world would mourn. I compared this to the death of Princess Diana. The passing of Michael Jackson was on that par.

I still believe the stock market will bottom in September. The housing market is already showing some signs of recovery. While I believe the recession will not be easily reversed, the signs of hope are clear. The wonderful event of galleRoy @ Casa La Reina was a gift of hope to everyone in my life. I hope you drank deeply of the cup.

The year has reached its zenith and my concern for radiation toxicity is acute. As a preventive, the use of blessthebody.com Radiation Cleanse is suggested. (Those who followed last month’s suggestion to use Radiation Cleanse and blessthebody.com Grace and Peace and Joy reported outstanding results. What have you done today to save yourself?!)

To increase your own intuition, the use of blessthebody.com Bright Brain is suggested.

Bright Brain

The brain is the master computer of the physical body and the main interface with the subtle worlds. Poor diet/nutrition, toxic environment/blood, imbalanced hormones and chemicals, and electro-magnetic and other radiational fields contribute to a decrease of these functions, as do inter-dimensional interferences. Headaches, dizziness, buzzing, inability to focus/inability to remember, poor coordination, mood-swings, insomnia, and general degeneration are all symptoms of a decrease of these functions.

Bright Brain restores vitality and light to the essence of the brain which balances and enhances its functioning. It also strengthens the etheric body, slowing the degeneration of the physical body. Rudolph Steiner said that cancer was a degeneration of the etheric body. Use of Bright Brain as a tonic maintains a strong etheric body.

It is important for serious meditators, students, drug-users, and anyone over forty years of age.
Combine with Radiation Cleanse, Chakra Tonic, White Light for severe symptoms. Combine with Silver Light for chronic anxiety.

Implant Cleanse

Recent astrology, especially the new moon eclipse, emphasizes the release of karma. If you are having trouble releasing negative patters in your life, combine blessthebody.com Karma Cleanse with blessthebody.com Implant Cleanse. And be prepared to change!

Deep-seated encoding and implants from fourth-dimensional interference or hereditary karma can impede the ability of the DNA structure to replicate correctly, causing mutation and illness. Often this is a vibrational disturbance that is subtle and the problem manifests over a period of time. Other cases are more overt and acute.

blessthebody.com Implant Cleanse removes the vibrational disturbance creating the underlying imbalance. Combine with blessthebody.com Love Light for best results. Add Aura Spritz and White Light for particularly difficult situations. This is highly recommended for chronic illness, both physical and emotional.

Feng Shui Astrology

This month has a severe problem with conflict in relationships. Romantic relationships may suffer to the point of dissolution. Stay in control of your temper and temper your hyper-sensitivity. Regrets last longer than quarrels.

This month also holds extreme good luck in the center of the home. Make use of this area as much as possible to create dreams-come-true!

In the Northwest sector: if you have water, add fire (1 hour a day). Good luck.
In the Northeast sector: burn fire only 5 minutes a day. Add six bags each with six coins. Bad luck.
In the South sector: remove water.
In the Southeast sector: if you don’t have it and are able to add it, add yang water.

Do not place water features in the bedroom.

For more information on feng shui treatments, see Feng Shui Every Day.

Continue spraying the home this month with blessthebody.com Radiation Cleanse and Grace and Peace and Joy.

police

this morning, after the drama of last night, i had more police in my life.

simply: i was driving. there was an accident in the street. the police were on the scene. i went around the accident to continue on my way.

a block later, a cop pulled me over.

he said i went around that accident. yes i did. he said i went on the wrong side of the street to do it. i said the accident had blocked the right side of the street. he said i should have turned down a different street.

he wrote me a ticket.

then: i said if you had wanted me to turn a different way, you should have been directing traffic.

he said you can fight it. i said i will. with cutbacks because of the economy, your time could be better spent than writing this frivolous ticket. it could have been spent directing traffic.

anyway, its been too much. i'm laying low for awhile. as long as the neighborhood is quiet.

neighbor hoods

the neighbors woke me last night playing loud music. it was sometime after 2 am. at first, i thought it was teenagers in a car with concert-setting speakers, the bass pulsing, but it didn't leave. so i went into the front yard to look. there was no-one around. and the sound was coming from my next-door neighbor's house.

these neighbors have always been good. yes, they tore down the bungalow like mine and built a huge mini-mc-mansion which hulks over me. yes, the cement acid from the block wall they built killed four of my trees. and yes, they do have huge, mexican parties all the time. but they have never been overtly inconsiderate.

i figured they would turn the music off in a minute because they have a baby living in the house. i figured all the other neighbors would call the police because it was so loud, so late. but none of this happened.

i got out of bed again and went to pee. the music was even louder. i decided to go back to the front yard then over to the neighbors to see what i could see. maybe it was a party that lost track of time...

but i did not see anyone through the large windows. there was low lighting inside the house but the place looked deserted. i could see well into the house from the sidewalk. i walked around to my back yard and looked over the tree-killer wall. again, i could see into the house but didn't see anyone. the music was loud but no-one was home.

that worried me.

so i called the police.

now, 411 on the cell phone has advertisements first; then directory assistance. after a commercial for walmart (at 3 am, mind you, in my boxers in the back yard) i ask for the police department. 411 has no listing. city and state, government, etcetera... no listing for the police department. i try three times.

then i call 911.

the police woman who answered asked if i needed an ambulance. i said no. i said the neighbors were playing loud music, it sounded like a night club. she could hear it over the phone. she said you don't call 911 for loud music.

i knew she didn't care about the walmart ads etc so i just kept going. "the music is loud but i don't see anyone in the house. it's weird and worries me."

"are there strange cars in the driveway?" i had to walk back to the front of the house. "i see the regular truck in the driveway but there is a white car in front of the house i don't know."

" and you don't see anyone in the house?"

"i can see into the house from the sidewalk and there's been no-one around... wait! i see someone." it was the father of the family. why would he be there listening to loud, nightclub-disco music?

"so it's ok?" the woman asked me. i said i think so... then:

"wait! someone's coming out." she stayed on the phone with me. two guys came out of the house, friends of the son i imagined. i walked toward the closer one and asked, "are you gonna be playing that music much longer?"

"fuck yes we're gonna be playing that music. whater you gonna do, call the police?"

i said i was already talking to the police, still holding the phone to my ear.

"you don't know who you're talking to. do you know who the fuck i am? i'll fuck you up."

the police woman asked in my ear, "has he been drinking?" i said yes. she said walk away, go home, lock your door, i'll send someone.

this is when he was saying to me, i'll fuck you up, i'll kick your ass you fucking faggot (a hate crime, i was wearing a NO H8 t-shirt with my boxers)... i walked back toward my house.

the two guys went back into the house for a few seconds then came out and got into the white car. it tore off down the street. and the music got turned way down.

a minute or two later, a cop car pulled up. i went out to meet it.

i told the officer the music had just been turned down and a man had threatened me then fled. i also said the neighbors had always been nice. (i didn't tell them about the wall and my trees. i also didn't mention that they had been to my huge but respectful and elegant party two weeks previous...)

he asked if i was ok. that was kind. i said everything seemed fine now. his partner drove up ~ i thought it might be the white car returning...

both officers walked toward the neighbor's house to look. they asked if i wanted them to investigate. i said it was probably ok now.

but the second officer said, "i hear the music and its over fifty feet." so they went to the front door to knock and i went back to my porch.

they stayed at the door for a few minutes. longer than i expected. when they were returning to their cars, i went out to meet them again.

the first officer said they were drunk (in my opinion, if you were drinking, by 3:30 in the morning, you would be passed out asleep. people awake at that time of the night, not realizing that their music is beyond inappropriately loud, must be doing drugs... coke, crack, something cut with speed... but i didn't suggest that).

the officer asked the neighbor's names. i told him and he seemed surprised. he said the man was behaving like an ass. i got the feeling he meant belligerent.

the police left.

a few minutes later (five minutes to four in the godawful morning), the white car returned. this made me nervous because of the threat that had been issued from its occupant. the two guys and a third, a white guy, got out and went into the neighbor's house. the white guy only stayed two minutes then got back in the white car and tore off.

i didn't get to sleep until after five. i was up at 7:30 and watering the garden by 8. i tried to get a nap after that but the phone kept ringing...

if i turn up dead anytime soon, question the neighbors. after all, they did kill my trees.

o what a night!

my dear friend of many many years sandra vista suggested while at my galleRoy event a couple weeks ago that we meet at exenes opening at western project. exene cervenka and john doe were/are the heart and soul of the famous and influential los angeles punk band x. x played at the amphitheater two nights ago and i am told burned the house down. they still have it. i met exene more years ago than any of us care to admit when she gave a reading of her poetry with henry rollins of black flag. we met in passing with gavin dillard the naked poet and others and i have followed her career/side projects since her early days.

sandra is a good artist, a career artist, a woman's artist, and a good teacher. her work documents her life in a beautiful and non-sentimental way. i have known her since before she was sandra vista and we always have a great time when we are together. and she throws the most interesting dinner parties!

sandra was bringing two friends and dc and i were meeting them at the gallery. exene and the other artist wayne white put together a great show. very real and resonant work of which im sure there will be great reviews.

dc and i were there before sandra and visited with suzanne an old friend of exenes about trips to india and morocco. the gallery was hot and became stuffy with more and more people so we spent most of the time in the back alley drinking. it was pleasant.

sandra and her friends june and carol arrived a little later and carol turned out to be carole caroompas the performance artist of japanese folding screen fame. we drank and visited with people and took short trips into the gallery to look at the art again. tulsa the editor of artillery who didnt show up at galleRoy two weeks ago was there and didnt remember me even when i said i was a friend of the world famous laura london. how could anyone ever forget me? she took a photograph of dc and carole caroompas and me for the next issue of the magazine but you know how that stuff turns out.

later in the evening i spotted phranc our favorite jewish lesbian folk singer talking to exene. i hadnt seen phranc with a ph and a hard c since the early eighties at the mercury arts center in long beach. the last i remember phranc and i and a couple other people were sitting on the sidewalk of fourth street outside the mercury arts center at 3 am singing this land is your land accompanied by her acoustic guitar. we visited for a few minutes and she said she was performing and rereleasing her old albums. she looked really good.

dc and i wanted to eat dinner at tender greens but they dont serve hard alcohol so we all went to rush so carole caroompas could have a martini. and thus the performance art for the evening began.

somehow the bartender didnt know how to make a martini; somehow the chef didnt know how to cook short ribs; somehow the waitor didnt know how to bring sidedishes; many things were sent back including the bill. twice. but the coup de gras of the performance was when carole caroompas locked herself in the bathroom stall and crawled under the door to escape much to the horror of the bathroom attendent. she came back to the table with her story of trauma dipping her fingers into a glass of water to wash her elbows. dc gave her lotion to rub on herself after the table bath.

sandra called the evening and the curtain fell. we left rush and dc and i made it home thankful for a quiet ride. o what a night!

science is 2000 years behind the times

and still doesnt get it!

posted on internet:

Humans Glow in Visible Light
By Charles Q. Choi

(July 22) - The human body literally glows, emitting a visible light in extremely small quantities at levels that rise and fall with the day, scientists now reveal.

Past research has shown that the body emits visible light, 1,000 times less intense than the levels to which our naked eyes are sensitive. In fact, virtually all living creatures emit very weak light, which is thought to be a byproduct of biochemical reactions involving free radicals. (This visible light differs from the infrared radiation — an invisible form of light — that comes from body heat.)

To learn more about this faint visible light, scientists in Japan employed extraordinarily sensitive cameras capable of detecting single photons. Five healthy male volunteers in their 20s were placed bare-chested in front of the cameras in complete darkness in light-tight rooms for 20 minutes every three hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. for three days.

The researchers found the body glow rose and fell over the day, with its lowest point at 10 a.m. and its peak at 4 p.m., dropping gradually after that. These findings suggest there is light emission linked to our body clocks, most likely due to how our metabolic rhythms fluctuate over the course of the day.

Faces glowed more than the rest of the body. This might be because faces are more tanned than the rest of the body, since they get more exposure to sunlight — the pigment behind skin color, melanin, has fluorescent components that could enhance the body's miniscule light production.

Skip over this content Since this faint light is linked with the body's metabolism, this finding suggests cameras that can spot the weak emissions could help spot medical conditions, said researcher Hitoshi Okamura, a circadian biologist at Kyoto University in Japan.

"If you can see the glimmer from the body's surface, you could see the whole body condition," said researcher Masaki Kobayashi, a biomedical photonics specialist at the Tohoku Institute of Technology in Sendai, Japan.

The scientists detailed their findings online July 16 in the journal PLoS ONE.

another glossary post

the following is added to the glossary on blesstheworld.com:

peace ~ in its most superficial form, peace is anti-war, the absence of war. it is the opposite of conflict. this can be applied on a global level, a commercial level, an interpersonal level, or as pertaining to turmoil within one's self, etc. but in reality, peace is much more than the absence of conflict. it is an equalitarian existence, a global life or a personal life of fairness and respect. those who work for peace in the world know that stopping war is a small bandage on a large wound. war is a symptom of a deeper consciousness that allows unfairness and disrespect to exist. the consciousness of individuals that make war (on each side of the conflict) and the consciousness of individuals who judge those who make war must be altered for there to be peace. while violence is an aspect of animal nature, war is not. and human nature has the power to elevate itself to a nature of peace. (see tao on blesstheworld.com glossary.)

and wear my peace shirts to make a statement for peace. every little bit helps shift the consciousness of the planet. http://blesstheworld.com

glossary post

the following was going to be in the glossary on the blesstheworld.com website where no-one would ever see it... but we thought it too controversial... so we put it in this blog for the edification of the multitudes!!!

god ~ the consciousness of the animating force of the universe (see prana on blesstheworld.com glossary).

do not confuse this consciousness with the christian god. he is an aspect of god like pan or diana or other greek and roman gods, like the multitude of hindu or buddhist dieties, the native american gods, or the gods of any culture. the christian and hebrew and muslim god (it is all the same aspect) has been having his fifteen minutes of fame and will one day be relegated to antiquity. do not believe the illusion. do not believe the pr. do not let religion keep you from an experience of god.

an aspect of god makes god more tangible to the masses and any aspect of god is valid for veneration. some are more elevated than others. many are more elevated than the christian god. but the idea of an aspect of god as being mistaken for god may be what makes atheists atheists, a small-minded logic. atheists do not believe the christian god is god thus there must be no god! as written in my blog (search below on atheism), atheism is a vocabulary problem. atheists believe in god, they just call it a chair or the wind or love. without god, their asses would be sitting on the floor in a stuffy place without the best of human relationships. but they would know they were right!

god does not have a chosen people. god does not promise land. god is neither a ruler nor a realtor. god does not lord over people. god does not command or damn. god is not vengeful or judgmental. those are all human traits. man created god in his own image and likeness. and the different aspects of god reflect the variations of human consciousness. see joseph campbell, hero with a thousand faces.

god is the consciousness of the animating force of the universe. words will not explain it further. have the experience instead. http://blesstheworld.com

god bless jimmy carter

reported from the internet:

After more than 60 years together, Jimmy Carter has announced himself at odds with the Southern Baptist Church -- and he's decided it's time they go their separate ways.

Via Feministing, the former president called the decision "unavoidable" after church leaders prohibited women from being ordained and insisted women be "subservient to their husbands."

Said Carter in an essay in The Age:

At its most repugnant, the belief that women must be subjugated to the wishes of men excuses slavery, violence, forced prostitution, genital mutilation and national laws that omit rape as a crime. But it also costs many millions of girls and women control over their own bodies and lives, and continues to deny them fair access to education, health, employment and influence within their own communities.

And, later:

The truth is that male religious leaders have had -- and still have -- an option to interpret holy teachings either to exalt or subjugate women. They have, for their own selfish ends, overwhelmingly chosen the latter. Their continuing choice provides the foundation or justification for much of the pervasive persecution and abuse of women throughout the world.

After watching everyone from philandering politicians to Iran's president taking a sudden look heavenwards when the roof starts to come down on them, it's refreshing to see Carter calling out the role of religion in the mistreatment of women.

The question for Carter -- and for others who find themselves at odds with leadership -- is, when a group you're deeply involved in starts to move away from your own core beliefs, do you stay and try to change from within or, at some point, do you have to look for the exit? Carter did give the former a shot -- in recent years publicly criticizing and distancing himself from church leadership, while staying involved with his church. Now, he's seeing if absence might do what presence did not.

peace shirts ~ royanthonyshabla.com

are you?

Obama's daughter does her part to promote peace with t-shirt

UNDATED -- As President Barack Obama engages in peace talks, his daughter is making a peace statement of her own with her clothing choices.

Obama's 11-year-old daughter Malia donned t-shirts while abroad with the famous logo for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

The symbol designed in 1958 is now also used to represent "peace."

Malia wore the two t-shirts with the peace sign while in Rome with her mother Michelle and sister Sasha.

Obama recently signed agreements with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev to cut back on the world's nuclear weapons.

The CND's goal is to rid the world of nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction.

The Obama family is accompanying the president at the G8 summit in the Italian town of L'Aquila.

He Kept His Shirt On -- And Got ArrestedCrossgates Mall shopper charged after refusing to take off shirt with peace slogan

by Carol DeMare

An attorney for the state was arrested and hauled into court after refusing to take off a T-shirt that said "Give Peace a Chance" while shopping at Crossgates Mall.

Roger and Stephen Downs had these shirts made at Crossgates Mall, but Stephen Downs was arrested when he refused to take his off and leave the mall. This is at least the second time in recent months that mall security asked people wearing T-shirts with peace slogans to leave.
Steve Downs, 60, of Selkirk, said he was minding his own business Monday when he refused to remove the shirt and was charged with trespass.

"My point was I'm not trying to convert anybody," Downs said Tuesday. "This was a statement of where I was in my life."

He had purchased the shirt in a shop in the mall shortly before the arrest. The store put on the lettering while he waited: "Peace on Earth" on the front and "Give Peace a Chance" on the back.
His son, Roger Downs, 31, of New Baltimore, an ecologist, also bought a shirt. It read "No War With Iraq" and "Let Inspections Work."

"When they asked me to take it off, I took it off," Roger said. "I think it was ridiculous. I guess the way we see this is we feel the mall has a right to control assembly, not want large protests or large special interest groups or rallies. We were just individuals with T-shirts on, and we were shopping. We weren't talking to people or handing out leaflets."

Numerous calls to Crossgates Marketing Director Sarah Nieves regarding mall policy were not returned.

Heidi Siegfried, interim executive director of the Capital Region chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union, said, "We have the position that the public space in the mall should be a First Amendment protected activity. Even when they have the right to control and prohibit ... someone shouldn't be removed when doing activity consistent with the normal uses of the mall."

On Dec. 21, about two dozen anti-war protesters wearing pro-peace T-shirts and carrying signs were asked to leave Crossgates. The group complied.

The incident with the father and son occurred shortly after 7 p.m. in the food court. They said they were asked by two security guards to take off their T-shirts, leave or be arrested.

"I don't think we have to take off the T-shirts," said Steve Downs, chief attorney in the Albany office of the Commission on Judicial Conduct.

The guards returned with a Guilderland police officer and, "It was the same routine all over again," the father said. "I said 'OK, arrest me.' "

The cop talked to him for an hour after he was handcuffed, Downs said, trying to get him to drop the whole thing and take the shirt off.

"I didn't want to do that," Downs said. "They were just doing their duty. They were trying to be very peaceful. They didn't want any confrontation."

He was repeatedly told the mall was private property and what he was wearing was unacceptable, the same as if he went to someone's home wearing something unacceptable.
"I said it's not the same thing, it's not a good analogy," said Steve Downs, who insisted he wasn't protesting or demonstrating by wearing the shirt.

Guilderland Town Justice Kenneth Riddett released Downs on his own recognizance and set a return date of March 17. Trespass, a violation, carries a maximum of 15 days in jail. A fine or conditional discharge with community service is more commonly given.

peace on earth ~ one t-shirt at a time.

in case president obama lost my t-shirt catalog, he can go to my website and select the image, style, and color he likes. in whatever size he needs... royanthonyshabla.com ~ maybe the girls will order stickers and do some peace graffiti!

barack obama

i have written letters to president obama. the first one i sent as a congratulations on his election and inauguration. i sent a copy of my book (PEACE) WORDS as a gift. i never got a response ~ no thank you. i sent him another letter asking him to remember his committment to peace and to not let the small-minded idiots sway him from his ideals. i wanted to send him one of my t-shirts ~ i thought the "what have you done today to save the world" image would be good for him... or the "one for all" would be good... but even though we have all seen him with his shirt off, i couldnt guess his size. anyone who has seen me dress knows i couldnt guess my own. so i sent him a "one for all" button and the t-shirt catalog instead. no response.

in the third letter, i said his idea of non-partisan government should be expanded to the entire planet... that governments and international businesses should be asked to work toward the greater good of all instead of trying to carve out their own niche of security and prosperity. when one prospers, all prosper. maybe that sounded too much like communism... but i think he is smarter than that. still, the monologue goes unanswered...

one day we will live in a golden world where the president of the united states answers your letters and wears your t-shirts. one day we will live in a world of grace and peace and joy. but for the moment, president obama has something more important to do than respond to me. and i have another letter to write.

the event of the season

my party was fabulous. many people arrived an hour early and quite a few stayed hours after... the paintings looked great and three sold. the slideshows and films got a lot of attention (there were seven different media playing on eight different monitors). the blowups of poems set a romantic tone... the house and garden looked like a dream and the luminaria made magic once the sun was set. the band was fantastic and everyone raved about them. the food was interesting and delicious and the wine flowed and flowed and flowed...

people came from all over, young and old, cool and dorky ~ it was the perfect mix and a lively communion. charlie sheen, pete seeger, and mary oliver (the great poet) made appearances.

i am still hearing from guests saying they had a wonderful time, saying they have been talking about the event since they left... if you missed it, you missed something! it got into your psyche.

i am hearing from people a second time to say they loved all the details of the gift bags, all the work it took, all the interesting items like the handmade book... they are just getting through all the stuff.

to me it was a blur, a three day blur that seemed like 45 minutes.

i want to thank everyone who helped ~ it took a huge crew to ready the house and garden, the paintings and prints, the films and slideshows, the giftbags, the food... many people pitched in before, during (alot of the "party" things like serving the food would not have happened without people just pitching in), and after the party ~ just out of love. i tried my best to invite everyone in my life ~ 75 lucky people showed up to celebrate the deliciousness of life and the exquisite perfume of my existence. i am very very blessed.

because it was such a blur, i didnt put together some connections i should have... jack should have met leslie; beto should have met charles rosenberg; martha and george should have talked; likewise little pam and cousin jeanie; and jason and johnny... and so on and so on and so on... but i did visit and mingle ~ it was a delight to see people i havent talked with in awhile. and there were some missed connections because of timing ~ one coming after another going... but a lot of guests did make new friends. and everyone had a magical time. martha and i are not quite sure how (or who!) we made it into our respective beds...

galleRoy at casa la reina was a huge success and i am so proud to have put it all together. now i need a little nap!

royanthonyshabla.com forever!

patrick told me i was a little hard on the hindus. he meant that in my newsletter, my description of how the indian internet technicians attempted to extort money from me by changing the passwords to my websites was harsh. he doesnt realize the emotional distress and huge amounts of money this cost me. he doesnt realize the loss of business and extra hard work it cost me. just today, my dear friend and new webmistress karen guido of tinicum designs made a report: all websites are returned to my control, all domaine names are returned to my property, and the renovations of both blesstheworld.com and royanthonyshabla.com are completed. we definitely have a reason to celebrate! almost $15,000 later, everything is back on track! and the bonus is this: if you go to google and search on "spiritual remedies" or psychic consultation" i come up on the first page, in the top ten. now that is amazing!

yesterday was my annual trip to laguna with big jeanne, cinder, and randy. cinder is not cinderella but cinderrama and we always have a good time. randy, her husband, sits in the "husband" chair that most boutiques, antique stores, and art galleries provide... while we shop. the day was spent walking through the village and, not to waste time, we placed a bunch of graffiti stickers on our rounds ~ often under the noses of the local police and firemen (who all look like swimwear models)... we always have a nice lunch at a restaurant with a balcony over the beach... and of course, a bottle of wine. i wonder what the poor people were doing!

the trip coincided perfectly with michael jacksons memorial ~ we were travelling in the opposite direction of the staples center. most people die when they are dead ~ he seems more alive now than ever! the family should freeze his body and take it on the road, michael on ice (i wouldnt put it past them)... or if there are pre-pubescent boys on skates, the ice-capades!

all these mourners must have seen and heard something i didnt. and millions of people couldnt be wrong. look at the stock market. im glad they were watching the memorial instead of crowding up my trip to laguna ~ we even found great parking!

i have been hanging paintings and working in the garden a lot this last couple weeks... getting the house ready for a big event next sunday. i am having a party to show my art, film, poetry... to celebrate the deliciousness of life... to give hope to the masses during this time of economic depression. there will be live original jazz, veggie/vegan finger food, and lots of alcohol! banners and poetry will fill the garden, paintings and film will fill the house. if you are in the los angeles area, come and celebrate the delightful perfume of my existence.

the invitiation is on my website. email for directions.

sublime begets sublime

w s merwin the great american poet was on charlie rose the other night reading from his new pulitzer prize winning book, shadow of sirius. he was always a beautiful man and age has not changed that. likewise he was always a lovely writer and the years have not changed that either. the first line of the first poem of his new book was taken from the first line of the first poem of my book from the eighties, flowers of ecstasy. in fact the entire first poem is after the first poem from my book... so wonderful to be that highly regarded by one of americas greatest living poets. i am honored.

the reading was truthful and clear and the dialogue was interesting. much of what merwin said to charlie rose replayed our rare and intoxicating late night conversations in my garden, bottle of wine and crackers not withstanding. it is a delight to speak with someone who actually has original thoughts, something worth saying. you see many of the ideas from our conversations (which are repeated in that interview with charlie rose) in my book, eating god. we have been a great influence on each other.

those conversations on the birth of art/poetry/music are reflected in my new series of paintings, jazz poems. the paintings are meditations on the physics of creativity... sublime begets sublime.
