ok, so since new year, the abundance of new age aphorisms -- especially with poor grammar -- has risen. the abundance of cat pictures -- especially cats in costumes -- has risen. is this what people want when they wish for abundance? the only solution is to be steadfast in unfriending the perpetrators. and for the new year, i am adding to the unfriend list: people who use hash tags on facebook. hash is one thing. tagging is another. but hash tags dont work on facebook -- how many times do you need to use one and have it not do anything until you learn? if you want to keep doing something that doesnt work, go into politics. but until you are elected, know you are unfriended. there is enough gibberish on here already.

my aunt mary felt dizzy and weak so she went to the doctor. he gave her a pill. a few days later, she was feeling worse, so she went to the emergency room. there, they gave her a shot. a few days after that, she was still feeling worse so she went to the emergency room again and got another shot. and a bill. i think thats why she called me. i talked to her for a couple minutes then told her to eat something goddamit eat. so she had a tuna sandwich. she felt so much better she went out for a hamburger. now shes polishing my shoes. being a healer doesnt pay the rent... but it sure makes your toes twinkle!

i havent eaten dead pig since 1975 (even though i wasnt born til 1984) but today at the ray stark restaurant bar at the l a county museum of art, even though i had queried the waitress, even though everything we ordered was purely vegetables -- even pizza with no cheese, i was served brussel sprouts with dead pig. and i ate half the dish before i realized it. i almost threw up... but controlled myself. i should not have controlled myself -- they didnt even take it off the bill. and the pizza (which i have had several times before) was lousy and cold. luckily, the art was much better. but still, we found ourselves wishing pentimento were back -- its been replaced by a stupid stupid stupid coffee bar -- even though there is a coffee kiosk right outside of it. at least pentimento used to give a member discount... and didnt smell like mold.

Greetings.

It is the ten-year anniversary of the American Tragedy of September 11th. You may have forgotten about it, there has been so much tragedy and drama since then, but the aftermath remains strong. We are still at retaliatory war in Afghanistan even though Osama Bin Laden is dead. We are still at war in Iraq even though that country had nothing to do with the Tragedy of September 11^th nor did it have “weapons of mass destruction”. These wars have destroyed more lives than were lost and affected by the loss of September 11^th. These wars are bankrupting this country, both financially and emotionally. And spiritually. To heal the psychic wound left by the Tragedy of September 11^th, we must heal the aftermath of the tragedy. Stop all war now. STOP ALL WAR NOW! Let September 11^th be a symbol for the futility of war. Demand an end to senseless death and destruction. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

Send a postcard to the White House now. Let President Obama know that war is not a winning endeavor. No-one wins a war. Remind him of his promise to bring the troops home.
